Adnan ibn Abdullah Al-Nueim, the Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, looked for ways that the Chamber can cooperate with the Department of Youth Welfare Services during a recent meeting with Khalid Al-'Uqayl, the Director of Youth Welfare Services for the Eastern Region.
Both sides agreed to strengthen communication channels between their respective agencies and to support the participation of the private sector in creating sports activities for youth in the Eastern Region.
During the meeting they also discussed the charitable goals of the Chamber's participation in The Ramadhaan Sports Festival, The National Sports Initiative, The Foundation for the Handicapped, and The Society for the Deaf.
Al-Nueim affirmed that the Chamber's participation in these areas stems form its belief that serving the youth is an essential part of fulfilling important national social strategic goals.
During the meeting, attended by Muhammad As-Sahli, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Ramadhaan Sports Festival, Al-Nueim gave Al-'Uqayl a documentary book about the festival and a commemorative plaque from the Chamber.
